Clean, rustic environment, perfect for a little getaway.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cabin! It's situated in a quiet, beautiful setting and is charming, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. We so enjoyed having the fireplace, playing board games & enjoying meals together. Also enjoyed our trips to Leavenworth for x-country skiing, dining out & shopping. A terrific get-away -- would love to return!

What an incredible place! We had an amazing stay. The cabin is spectacular - clean, well stocked, and cozy. We were so grateful a Christmas tree and decorations were set-up upon our arrival. We had so much fun playing in the snow and relaxing by the fireplace. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Our son came home from Japan, stationed in the United States Air Force. This was, by far, the best vacation home we have ever rented, and being a retired United States Army Veteran who served 26 years, there have been numerous rentals. Beautiful, clean very friendly atmosphere…

Beautiful cabin with a ton of amenities. Not too far from Leavenworth and worth every penny. The place was even better in person than in the pictures. We will definitely be staying again!

A small group of women in my family and close family friends have been getting away for an annual girls weekend for the past 20+ years. This was our first time staying at Big Jim Mountain Lodge. The cabin and property were gorgeous! We enjoyed gathering around the fireplace in the living room, around kitchen bar while we were cooking, and in the comfy chairs on the back patio. We were very comfortable, and had a great time! I would love to return to this cabin for another weekend getaway.

It was a beautiful home, even better than in the photos! We came for a bachelorette party and it was the perfect open space for that! Farther away from downtown than we thought, but overall it was a great experience.

The house is amazing. I liked it a lot. The only issue I had was the train going by at certain time. Very disturbing when trying to sleep.

Came here for my sisters birthday weekend. It was a beautiful home. We enjoyed all the speakers inside and outside on the patio. We just didn't know how to use the microphone. And the hot tub was the best! Definitely coming here again and for a great price.

Our family had a great time. The cabin had a warm and cozy feeling to it. Kids were able to enjoy the hot tub and pool table. The location for us was just right. Close to Leavenworth, but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet!

Our overall experience was great. Our friends had a bit of an issue getting in with the code and with spotty cell coverage we needed to go into town to call for assistance. It took about 30 minutes for me to get in touch with someone at Destination Leavenworth. We were able to get in using the original code anyway so it was all good!

We had the best weekend staying at Big Jim Mountain Lodge. It was a wonderful home. It was clean, spacious, and had anything we needed. The hot tub and pool table were fabulous. The only thing slightly negative I can say is that the advert said there were two queen bunk beds in one room, there was only one bunk bed. Other than that, fabulous place to stay and we can't wait to go again!

Photos were fully accurate, so our expectations were met. Really enjoyed coffee each morning on the back deck in the sun listening to the birds. The zero gravity chairs on the patio are awesome to take a nap in, and the fire was a welcome treat each night. Fully enjoyed this peaceful much needed retreat into nature. Much better than being in the heart of Leavenworth, not a far drive into town.

The entire booking process has been easy and convenient. Upon arrival, the entire family was blown away by how beautiful the cabin and property are. Well appointed, and immaculate. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay and the time we got to experience with our family! From the cozy fireplace, the stocked kitchen, the hot tub, and the outdoor fire pit, we had an amazing time.

Last minute booking and weekend getaway. Great joint off the beaten path in Plain, ~25 min from busy Leavenworth. Unfortunately, hot tub was being serviced but I could see enjoying morning coffee, etc from it. Occasional trains in the distance was cool. Pool table in loft was a fun distraction. Lastly and maybe a key point, but there were no bugs hanging out on the back deck. Amazing. We found them walking down the road by the river but nothing at the cabin.

I've never stayed at a rental home with so many wonderful ammenities. Very well planned layout and nice, seculded location. I highly recommend this place!

We were at this property for 4 nights between Christmas and NYE 2017. This was an absolutely perfect property. We have absolutely no complaints, and only praise for the property and location. There was a snowstorm during our stay and with everything covered in snow it was as if we were living in a winter wonderland. The community where this cabin is located even had a private snow plow company they hire to come through on a regular basis and plow, which is good because we didn't really have any food and were concerned about whether we would be able to get out with all the snow. By 10am that morning the snowplow was there! The inside and outside of the cabin are beautiful, and although we were two parents and two kids, it would be very comfortable even with 3 or four additional people at the property. The only slight inconvenience inside the cabin was that both bathrooms are downstairs and all but the master bedroom are upstairs. Really not a problem, but keeping that in mind when reserving is a good idea. They even had an awesome little contraption that helped dry out boots and gloves very efficiently overnight! There is a community street that goes right next to the cabin property, that goes fairly steeply downhill, and it was awesome because with snow it was a ready made sledding hill! With sleds at the property, the kids -and adults- had a great time passing hours sledding there. There were several others staying in the area also using the hill. It was far enough away from the actual cabin that we never felt that strangers were too close or privacy compromised. Keep in mind, this property is about 5 miles down a street with no exits, so to get there is not extremely quick. It is probably a good 15 minute drive away from anything, including the main highway 2. If you are not looking to be in the middle of things, it is a nice easy drive and very relaxing. We never had a problem with the out of the way location, and were very happy with our stay.

The Big Jim Mountain Lodge is a wonderful property. Managed by Discover Leavenworth the house and amenities are perfect. The kitchen in this place is fully loaded and the beds and furniture are spectacular. We had a great time.

We loved it and were pleasantly surprised by all the amenities. We spent lots of time playing pool, sitting around playing games and soaking in the hot tub

We loved the house. Very well outfitted for cookware (important to me) - in fact best I have ever seen in a rental house. Very comfortable beds, fabulous hot tub. Even the neighborhood dog Cody who looked in on us was great (no, we did not feed him :). Only issue was that the gas fireplace was apparently not connected - we didn't figure this out until after 5pm on our arrival day Friday, and we were out all day on Saturday hiking so we could not connect with the Destination Leavenworth folks during their business hours. Small issue. Would stay here again and highly recommend. Oh, pool table very much enjoyed by the teenagers as well.

Big Jim Mountain Lodge instantly lifts the west side worries away! My family and I enjoyed a peaceful walk to the river. We woke each morning feeling refreshed and renewed! The Lodge boast comfy beds, an amazing hot tub and every kitchen utensil imaginable! We'll be returning yearly for a family get-away!

Very cozy and inviting cabin for family and friends. Great location from levenworth, very peaceful. Cabin was well equipped with all of the necessities for cooking, baking, and grilling. Overall, great experience and looking forward to next year!

We had an absolutely great time here! Easy access to trails and the river; it was a fun area to explore. This place has a super smart layout - you can literally see out to the hot tub through the open great room/kitchen from the pool table on the open second floor. Awesome. It's furnished quite nicely and just felt like a well put-together, relaxing space inside and out. Memorable trip, want to go back! Thank you!!

What a lovey place to spend on long weekend. The minute you drive up to this beautiful log home you feel the tensions of the city fade away. The great room with the inviting fireplace, a kitchen with every amenity to cook a gourmet meal in to the comfy outdoor covered deck with hot tub. We built a fire outside in the fire pit even though it was very chilly outside, you felt like you could touch the stars they were so bright. I would recommend this wonderful getaway to a family, couples or a group of friends looking for a nice getaway. Thank you !, we will return.
